I am the father of my dear son and daughter named, Laertes and Ophelia. Ophelia has been killed by falling and drowning in water. I was hiding behind these big curtains and hamlet slashed his sword into the curtain, killing me. My dear son, Laertes wants to avenge his father’s death and Ophelia’s death. Laertes thinks that Ophelia’s death is because of Hamlet, and wants to kill him. The King and I have planned to kill Hamlet, either by dipping the sword in a little poison or giving Hamlet a drink of poisoned wine.
