From Horatio

Hamlet’s best friend is I, Horatio. We have known each other since our youth, and I have always been by Hamlet’s side. Just recently, I have received his letter informing me that on his way to Europe with Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, a pirate ship chased him for many days. When they finally caught up with him, they took him hostage. Since they knew who he was, they showed him mercy. The whereabouts of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are (up to date) unknown. I overheard the king talking about how he wants Hamlet dead. This information has appalled me beyond anyone’s mind capacity. I wish to my God that I could inform him of this news, but alas no. I suppose I shall await his return from Europe, if he ever makes it back.
